Just got back from Rifle Gear. Three employees looked at it and said it was fine. I also mounted it on one of their DD ARs and it looked the same as the pictures above... canted. They told me when I zero the rifle, it will look better and that the Eotech is slightly offset (larger on the left side) so this is normal. I'm going to wait to zero everything before sending it back to Eotech for repair.
Thanks for your offer!Comment

One time I had a similar issue with my EOTech.
Originally, it was fine, then when reattached, I got it canted. I think I wasn't getting it properly attached to the rail as I was able to take it off and get it level. Make sure it's sitting flush (wiggle it some) before locking it in place.

Have you even zeroed it yet? If you can't shoot straight with it then there is a problem. Otherwise...DMS.sigpicComment

$500 should get you an optic that is straight. The EOtech I have sits flat on my rifles. I'd send it back on GP.

EXPS is the QD model and lower 1/3 co-witness. The XPS is the standard mount and absolute co-witness.
edit: looks like your FSB might be canted. Give it a whack with a rubber mallet and see it it goes over any. Will not take much. And be sure no burrs/junk under the mount. Also, is it sighted in yet? That will move the crosshairs around also.

if you spend that much money, the product needs to satisfy you. if you aint happy, i'd exchange it.
however, looking at the pictures you posted, would you truly notice the slight canting if you were to use the eotech? when i use my aimpoint micros, i dont see anything but the red dot on the target...Comment

I'm in Diamond Bar, you're welcome to bring your EOTech by and try it here as well.Laws against murder and attempted murder should have been the only gun control laws ever needed in America...Comment

The rail could just be slightly out of spec. Even one small surface could do that. It's okay, it won't hurt anything.Originally posted by NorCalK9.comHecka funny all my friends with AR's call them "clips" but I call them bullet holder things lolOriginally posted by MikeRSo suck it HK, If I wanted an $800 pistol with a crap trigger I would just go buy 2 Glocks.Comment

Did you push the Eotech forward while you torqued it down? It'll ensure that it is lined up properly by having the cross-bolt contact the rail.Comment
