That is the one to get. Cry once, then overpower the the stubborn little spud.

Soak it for a few days. Then, if that doesn't work, add a little heat. If you really need help, I might have some free time next weekend.

So yes to raise impact the front sight needs to be lowered.
Genius way of keeping it straight!!!!! Thanks!

I said it backwards. I need to lower the group/raise the sight. I tried Kroil oil and the blow dryer treatment and broke the fingers off 2 different sight adjustment tools by hand. A machinist friend made and tempered the tool I put in the brace - no dice. You can get a lot of torque with a brace. It's a "new" WASR from CAI. I just think it's cross threaded.

A hair dryer isn't close to enough heat. MAPP gas would be my choice.

Original issue is/was a stuck front sight (elevation) on a WASR that I broke 2 sight tools trying to budge. Used Kroil oil and blow dryer back and forth (heat/cool) for nearly an hour. Then put a sight tool in a brace (about the same mechanical advantage as a 1/4" drive socket wrench) - still no dice. Afraid I'd snap it (the sight post) off with an impact tool so added a dap of JB Weld to make the post taller rather than risk hearing the sickening "snap" sound.

                      Exactly!

I remember it with FORS in regards to POI.

                      FRONT is the OPPOSITE.
                      REAR is the SAME

It looks like he might have bent it while trying to adjust it, but the front post definitely is canted
