    CA bolt action AR conversion

Who's gonna make a conversion kit from semi to bolt action if SB 249 happens. So we can have all the evil features that look scary.

Like they have in the UK? U.S. Shooters marveled that the Brits had to go to those lengths and now here we are contemplating the same thing.

      They are already made.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Google straight pull AR15. Only in the UK. I am thinking of building one.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Just take off the gas tube and plug the gas tube hole in the gas block.

          Instant bolt action AR*

*does not work on blow back action ARs.

I don't get why people seem to think some device or invention needs to be created to turn an AR-15 into a straight pull bolt action...

Shut off the gas, now it's no longer semi auto.

Now, the cool ones are these:

I think a few companies even carry them in DTC
My AR is 7.62x39, so that if/when we get invaded, I can shoot their ammo back at them!

I like the Desert Tactical Arms Stealth Recon Scout. If only I could afford it, and get it in a left hand version!!!

People like AR's because they are a grown mans barbie doll. With the newer chassis systems for bolt actions, it's not really necessary to actually need an AR to play tacticool dress up anymore. Many of the bolt action chassis systems will take standard AR parts such as stocks, grips, and a rail is a rail is a rail.

Fulton armoury makes a side charging upper and I suspect more companies will offer them if the law changes.

I'm thinking of building one. I have a fixed stock lower that needs an upper and since I'd like it to have a fixed 10x scope it might as well be a straight pull bolt action.

I just built up a "evil space gun" side charger AR (it's evil because it's black).

It started with a MEGA billet side charger upper $139 and a Young Manufacturing hard chromed national match side charger carrier that I got for $125 in a group buy. Then just add a bolt, barrel, barrel nut, free float tube, charging handle or plug and you've got a bolt action side charger upper. It's not much more expensive than a basic upper to make a match grade side charger.

It amazes me that people are either silly enough or gutless enough to even think about altering their firearms without compensation or putting up a fight.

                          Sad... just sad.

I don't think everyone here is rolling over like a whipped dog. I'm interested in a manual bolt AR regardless of the law.

As matter of fact, I'm looking at the bull-pup bolt upper above wondering if there is a way to mount a bolt receiver in place of a buffer tube. A bull-pup bolt action on an mil-spec lower with overall length of 30"...that would be cool!

Where in this thread is there a bullpop bolt action upper? The only bullpup posted is the DTA, and that's not an upper...
