there was a guy that would rap a rubber band from trigger around the trigger guard and back to trigger and do the same thing.

You don't want to loose your gun rights over something stupid like that.
I tried it with the rubber band it works but allot of times it will cycle the round with the hammer in the down position, it's not reliable.

I agree. It's a legit question. Not everyone knows everything about what constitutes legal or not. There are lots of things that, surprisingly, are legal. Many that shockingly are outlawed. Nothing quite makes sense. This board exists to make what's legal clear and to live out our freedoms to the fullest.
