I glad to learn where some of the parts come from, but frankly I don't care (too much) as long as I keep getting this kind of quality bang for the buck.

Buy it, shoot it and enjoy it.

I only have pictures of a few of the builds but here you go...

Those order times I posted go all the way back to 2015, so it seems consistent to me. Also, the orders were usually rifle parts, but some were lowers to an FFL and others were just one muzzle brake or an upper. I think they are just real busy. Also depends on where you are and the shipping you pay for of course.
My last PSA order was ammo only, sent some 9mm to son-n-law and wife in TN a couple weeks ago.

IIRC I ordered on a Tue, it shipped Thur and they had it following week on Mon or Tue, tho' TN is a lot closer then here in San Diego

I've ordered a ton of stuff over the last 6 or 7 years from them. No complaints - and no probs with the uppers I've received. A few hundred rounds a year sometimes as someone mentioned (some AR and upper sit more then the others )...and a few hundred rounds a day sometimes. All good.

When we move back there (we bought some acres in TN) I'll go buy in person sometime, good reason to visit SC I suppose, no matter what wife sez

      Have fun, be safe.

Haha, if you have a good rifle then good stuff. However, as a system, an AR is only as good as its weakest link with any rifle

                It's not that light either...

Under 5lbs is light - almost 7 is not.

I'll weigh it with a BCG and lower when I get a chance, but the box was much lighter than any other upper I have received. It is going on a rifle lower with a PRS stock so it won't be the lightest thing around, but it won't be a ten pounder hopefully. Super thin barrel but choked (thicker) about 4" around gas block then thin again. I bet this makes for rigid sections.

Well, with a Thordo lower and PSA Premium BCG, it is 6.4 pounds without sights so it is not going to make 5 pounds . I could only pull that off with a SU-16, but not an AR. Love this upper.

Thankfully PSA has decent customer service.
Was the bolt carrier group all along!
                      Has run flawless since.
I bet the problem was that it wasn't mil-spek enough. Did you pour mil-spek juice all over it to fix it?

Because they only sell them once in a while. I've waited for months before they got them in stock. They will have "CHF" in the title.

That means that your BCG got more attention before being shipped out to you. BCM tests every product, PSA does batch testing. Ultimately, the best way to make sure your rifle works is to put a bunch of rounds down the pipe.

As far as ammo deals, it depends, you have to look around for the best deal. I have ordered ammo from psa several times, but also ordered from sgammo, ammosupplywarehouse, and others I can't recall
