Well yeah that's the way it works usually IMHO. People without any issues might comment in a thread like this but no reason to post if it works as expected.

There are all types of people. Sometimes you have to remind yourself that the loud ones aren't necessarily the majority.

I also think a lot of people putting together rifles run into issues and just trouble shoot and fix them without running to a forum, because it is easy. Not everyone needs to post what they ate for breakfast, their shoe size, or what returns they have in progress with customer service from PSA or anyone else including brands that are very expensive and may not be worth it. I'm sure there are lots of 100% reliable $2000-$3000 AR's don't get shot at all.

I am definitely interested in how PSA gets us such great pricing. I also think they are good to go. They get a lot of negative comments from people who simply don't like the low prices and turn their noses up at the pricing.

I got an email about a half hour ago, and they still have PTAC. I think I read PTAC is actually made by another company for them? It is their lowest model I believe.

Their processing does take forever though.... Shipping is through standard carriers, and takes regular time, but it is getting to the door of the shipper out of PSA's door that takes a week alone

I built my 18-year-old son his first AR from one of their rifle kits (only thing I needed to provide was the lower, mag, bullet button, and the optic) before the latest ban took effect. We've run that thing pretty hard, and it has been 100% reliable to date.

So, my personal opinion of PSA is that their stuff is very good for the money.

!00% of everything PSA sells is made by other companies for them. They don't manufacture anything.

The best way to handle it is to expect 14 days, but you will get notifications and tracking info.

My last five orders are all pretty consistent. It seems to take 16 days from order date around a major holiday sale, and 12-13 days normally.

Last five orders: 13, 16, 12, 16, 12. Both the 16 day turn around times were Christmas rush. I have an upper coming on Monday that will have taken 13 days.

Anyone place any ammo only orders from PSA? How fast did they ship out the ammo?

Those order times I posted go all the way back to 2015, so it seems consistent to me. Also, the orders were usually rifle parts, but some were lowers to an FFL and others were just one muzzle brake or an upper. I think they are just real busy. Also depends on where you are and the shipping you pay for of course.

they might not physically manufacture anything, but they do brand items and resell them. The "Freedom" line is one PSA has created to sell their own budget AR's. the P-TAC brand is indapentent from PSA. For instance, you can buy a PSA lower and a P-Tac lower. The maker of the PSA lower on your FFL sheet is "Palmetto State Armory" the maker of a p-tac lower is "P-TAC"

P-Tac is an independent company that sells parts through PSA,
Freedom is a brand of PSA firearm parts.

I have owned or helped put together 7 or 8 different PSA Freedom rifle kits. All have worked perfectly out of the box, one had some minor cosmetic damage most likely from poor packing when shipped.

I glad to learn where some of the parts come from, but frankly I don't care (too much) as long as I keep getting this kind of quality bang for the buck.

Buy it, shoot it and enjoy it.

I only have pictures of a few of the builds but here you go...

I spent over $7k at PSA between Sep 01 and Dec 31. About half of it was just ammo. It usually was at my house in less than 10 days.

They updated their shipping system in October and are a lot faster these days. But even that wasn't enough to mean instant shipping with the amount of traffic and business they do during the holiday seasons so nothing was shipped overnight. Did have 2 orders on their way in less than 4 days though.

Got 4k rounds of Speer 75gr .223 GDHP's delivered in under a week. I was impressed, I doubt SG would have beaten that.

Just got my CHF Lightweight 18" upper. Real nice. 18" lightweight FN barrel, Midwest Industries Lightweight 15" M-lok tube... weighs 3.1 pounds. I'll either put a PSA premium NiB BCG or a Lantac E-BCG in it and go. Already twisted off the FH and was twisting on a brake, but the new Lantac crush washer split/broke. Never had that happen before. Gotta find a spare crush washer later.
