Hitman do you use a BB/Prince 50 or what ? And I'm going to build my A1 replica after the one on Pg.652 of Small arms of the world (Smith & Smith 10th Revised edition) 5.56m16A1 Rifle of current manufacture (It has a full bridged lower & BFA yet is still an A1 with triangular HG's of 1973 )

Full Bridged lowers used on A1's in Early to middle 70's ! See Pg.652 of Small arms of the world (Smith & Smith 10th Revised Edition) 1973

                Your both right, BUT.......................................

An A1 lower has a full fence, but the forging is considerably different than a full fence A2 lower.

                A1 lower with full fence.

A2 lower with full fence. And even this isn't totally right, most A2 lowers are marked fire/safe on the right side.

So yes a M16A1 with a current lower does not look correct, compared to an original M16A1.

Since my 1911A1 rig is Mid 70's them my Retro A1 replica will be mid 70's (Looking) also (Those lowers look very close to a beginner like me) and I may just make finnish of my lower match the A1 upper I recieve to keep my entire Buld cost at $500.00 (Plus BB & Mag/mags & Alumahyde)

That is what I did. Although NDS wasn't making receivers yet when I did mine. I went as far with my lower as I felt comfortable. I filled in the stag head (Stag) to get a text only magwell, and filled in the fire/safe on the right side. I really need a correct lower for it since all the other parts are to the year correct (1968).

Same gun posted earlier in the thread.

Don't need to use them. They are registered since they were named on the ban list.
