to get mine off, I immersed the flashhider in WD-40 (I should have used KROIL but I didnt have any) and I got a long adjustable crecent wrench, I had my brother hold the upper as I rotated the flashhider off. Simple 5 minute job

Ok, I'll give that a try. What tool is used to tighten the 3 prong unit since it is round and has no flat area for a wrench? Thanks.

                      Some beautiful guns here!!

                      I've posted these pics before...

Ever since I bought my first AR I've wanted to recreate my favorite toy gun from when I was a kid... a metallic blue and black M16.

Well, I finally have the gun together!

Now I am just getting ready to ship it off to be finished in a nice deep metallic blue!

If you know how many guns you have... you don't have enough guns.

People need to remember that the same guys who wrote the 1st Amendment, also wrote the 2nd Amendment... and for the same exact reasons.

I am going for the flat side lower as soon as it is available. Like I said I have a local source. I would go with the nodakspud but I have a feeling it will be waaaaaaaaay worth it to wait.

Thanks for the offer of paint. I love this forum.

Nodakspud lowers are fan-fking-tastic. They are identical to original colts but don't require large front pins or large trigger pins.

Yes I am a total fanboy.
