i know most of the gang bangers in my neighborhood anyways so its cool. the only reason im still here in the city is because im taking care of my grandfather on his deathbed. soon afterwards i will try to convince my immediate family to buy some good land outside, far outside of the city/california so we can move to hopefully BEFORE SHTF but i am not too worried about a natural disaster. im more worried about government collapse or a virus outbreak. if its a natural disaster our government will help us sooner or later, not that im relying on them but they will help soon enough. anyways, we can only prepare for the worst and hope for the best but i dont want to be anywhere near so cal when it happens. i do know i will try to evacuate my family before the SHTF if possible. because yes the traffic and idots trying to flee will be gridlocked! better off on horseback or dirtbike! lol

and ****, i sold my damn car to buy SHTF rifle...lol

yeah i feel that. i wouldnt rely on them either but the help comes eventually..and they have new policies and procedures in place due to the mistakes of katrina. like i said i wouldnt depend on the government for help but the help does come eventually. and most of the spots that lacked the help were the MURDA CAPITOL OF THE WORLD...3RD WARD CALIO MAGNOLIA...so the government probably said, ahh WTF left them die, all they do is kill themselves anyways...lol.. i know it was ****ed up but katrina taught us all a good lesson

Downed highway over passes, fires from broken gas lines, no water pressure or electricity. No emergency vehicles will have access to most areas. Gangbangers will be out like flies on crap. It's not a single girl in a dangerous area. It's an aid worker that wants to go help a cause that they feel the need for, and it's 1/10,000.

As per their congressional "roasting", all I could find was a pair of investigations into their security model, which found that it was one of "acceptance". Wherein you respect local customs, do your best to blend in, act like a native, and be cautious. Much as a single girl would in, say, New York City. It just so happens that the places these people choose to go are much, much more dangerous. And guess what - It's an underfunded agency called "The PEACE Corps". They can't go around packing heat; it undermines the credibility of the entire organization.

Pull up some facts, Jack. You're just phrasing things to feel better about not doing your part. Unless you've got some links in your next post or some firsthand experience of any kind, I'll withdraw from this argument because it's facile and futile.
