I am looking on DD website, which mid did you get? They are all out of stock. Did you get it with or without the gas block? The reason I ask is I would like to know how it comes from the factory. Do you have to remove the gas block to install the barrel nut or does it come disassembled? Does it come with a barrel nut but they don't show that on the website. Does it come with a gas tube? Also if you are getting the stripped one, who is going to drill your gas port and install your gas block?

I just got the stripped version. I'm going to have a local guy Pin and weld a primary weapon systems break as well as pin the gas block.

so you had to buy a barrel nut and you are going to mount a FF rail system. Cool.

        Thanks for the info.

I just put a 13" on a 16" and I really like the look of more of the barrel being covered, but I rarely see fluted barrels. I'd go with a 10" to cover the gas block, but have plenty of barrel being showed off.

DD complete barrels come with barrel nut assembly, gas tube installed into the FSB, and drilled FSB with the taper pins pressed in by hand. The stripped barrels come with just the barrel.

Check out the Samson Evolution hand guards. CLICK HERE! I like the 12" myself for 14.5" barrel. I'm using one of these on the GPU I'm building.

Using gun control to stop crime is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline!
You don't have to get permission to exercise a RIGHT. If you have to get permission or can be told no by the government it is no longer a right. IT IS A PRIVILEGE!

Thanks again. I was either blind and couldn't find that on the website, or they do not say that. I just saw barrels with gas blocks. I think I read they come with tubes, but nowhere did I find they came with nuts installed. In some descriptions it says "complete" and the picture shows a nut assembly, on others it says W/FSB or W/LPGB and in those picts the gas block has no tube and the barrel is bare...so I was just making sure.

I just ended up getting a Midwest T-12, Couldn't pass up the price on it ( brownells dealer discount) was a bit over 120 with 5 shipping.

12" or 10" if you want a tacticool run and gun class look. (I like)

Or if you want to look like a service rifle go 7"

                            IMHO
