The simple explanation is you can use a BMC full auto BCG in a SA AR

    2. Uh, that's what he said.... Semi or Auto bolt in a Semi gun, but you could use an auto bolt in an auto gun.

^ This part, where as he seen this
there is to much I have heard this from a buddy stuff.
So because I don't have my BCM AR yet, I cannot suggest that others buy quality and that crappy things break? I mean, one does not have to know a lot about guns to realize that buying cheap **** leads you nowhere good. And this doesn't only apply to guns, it applies to almost everything.

In Mexico, there is a saying: Lo barato sale caro. (The cheap [stuff] will end up costing you more).

Can someone generate a list in this thread of the "cheap ****" "crappy brand"...some of us might be interested in what you guys are all classifying as low end BCG's that will bust teeth and blow up AR's...

no need to get all fancy and stuff... just pick the one you get a better deal on from a reputable manufacturer. like others have suggested, go with an auto version from BCM, LMT, or DD... i'd also like to throw Stag/CMT in the mix too. i'm sure Spikes, RRA, CMMG, etc. will all suffice as well.

this referrs to the bolt carrier itself, no? jp's barrell kit includes the "enhanced bolt" with the barrell already crowned, compensator, and adj. gas block/tube kit, so i gotta get the carrier and bits either from them or a suitable alternative.

BCM. Don't over think this. As long as go with a good company, you'll never see the difference. People like to split hairs.
The Model 610 was classified as the XM177[3] but adopted by the Air Force as the GAU-5/A Submachine Gun (GAU = Gun, Aircraft, Unit.) The Army purchased 2,815 Model 609 CAR-15 Commandos on June 28, 1966, which were officially designated Submachine Gun, 5.56 mm, XM177E1. - Wikipedia

Just remember Stag has two types, SA and FA. So dont just think all Stag BCGs are SA, non-tested.

and for the record...CMT provides BCGs to ALL manufacturers, not just Stag. CMT = Colt, FN, Armalite, everyone in fact uses CMT for their overflow.

So while Stag = CMT, CMT doesn't = Stag.

Who makes the BCG for Shrubmaster? Still debating swapping mine out unless it's on par with others.

Just for the record, it looks like a Bushmaster complete BCG is not up to basic standards...

                              Thought I might share this.

                              Also,
what I've learned is that if you have a run of the mill commercial grade BCG and you just plink or shoot it casually, then you'll probably be fine. Problems arise when you start to run said things hard, and that is what is supposed to separate the hobby ARs from the serious ones. I still don't like that a lot of the cheaper brands don't even properly stake their gas key.

This is what I've learned. Lots of great stuff to read about on M4C.net.
