Gift ideas for an AR owner

So Christmas is coming and I need a present fr my brother who recently built his own AR-15. I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations on something I could get him? I'm not too familiar with the whole AR craze. He mentioned he needed a range bag and or a midwayusa gift card. I hate giving gift cards so any suggestions? Also preferable things on a budget.

    Maybe this gun case?

      Ammo is always good.
Using gun control to stop crime is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline!
You don't have to get permission to exercise a RIGHT. If you have to get permission or can be told no by the government it is no longer a right. IT IS A PRIVILEGE!

Hmmm, I know when I buy things that have to do with my firearms I am pretty picky, especially with gear like range bags, cases, ect.

Personally, I don't think you could go wrong with a few boxes of PMC .223 ammunition. Depending on how much you like the guy, maybe you can get him half a case of ammo of PMC. That might run you about 150.

amoo is a huge plus, get him a 1000 ofgood factory ammo, run you about $300.

A range bag all depends how much you wantto spend, some will cost about as much ormore than the ammo. Others of good quality will ruin you < $100.

Theirs goingto be the Gunshow atthe fairgrounds in Cost Mesa Thanksgiving weekend, head on out and get a good deal on a bunch of AR stuff. Maybe get him a nice folder or custom knife to go with his AR.

That's one ofthe reasons why I suggest a trip to the gunshow, he can pick a gun case he likes.

That's a good idea. That's where I got my range bag. It's nice to actually put my hands on a product and see the pockets.

Pmags would be nice but he livesin the great state of texas so I don't think he'd appreciate 10/30 mags he'd have to dissasemble and reassemble. We have a 40 dollar gift limit as well. Ammo I thought was a good idea but I think I'd rather give him something that'll last. Also hard to get him to the gunshow when he's in Texas.

You could buy him some 30 round Cproducts mags off 44mag.com. They're 7.99 each and they have free shipping. Everybody likes mags.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

Im pretty picky when it comes to gear and parts as well. Mags are always good but he can probably get them cheaper. So the ammo idea is cool, but like you said, you wanted something that would last. Perhaps an AR cleaning kit? Or a spring replacement set or field repair kit with extra extractors, gas rings, bolt parts, etc etc?

Well just send him some Californicated 10rdrs so he can feel your pain. Probably give his shooting buddies a good laugh as well.

                            +1!!

That would be hilarious! Send him a blocked 10/20 pmag. He'll look at it and go "WTF"? But that's what would make it special. Put a note in there saying "Greetings from Kalifornistan" or something like that... Hah!
