U5512, come to think of it you are absolutely correct. I never put two and two together. My sabres were built with stag lpks, and when I did my spikes my lgs was out so I had to use dpms. Forgive me "op" disregard my post lol and steer clear of dpms if you purchase that spikes lower..

I just finished my Spikes lower. Used their enhanced LPK with stainless components. Everything went together with no hassle. I used the instructions from here on Calguns, after much viewing of videos recommended by members here. Now comes the search for an upper, Oh yeah! OP, you are at the right place, just go slow and take in all the info.

The current run of spikes lowers are made by aero precision, so this is a really good deal, especially if (like me) you dislike the insipid spider rollmark.

            Well that explains a lot.

Yep though, Spike's is good to go, there's basically no difference in the lowers 'cept markings.

Mega is hands down my fave lower for the cheapies. I would get the Mega Billet lower as it looks fantastic, front of the mag well has a nice grip, and the oversized factory triggerguard that doesn't need a roll pin is another great functional part. The finish is like nobody elses either and oh so easy to clean.

Yeah I think a Mega Billet is my next lower.

Spikes Tactical Lowers are always available at Golden State Tactical. They are high quality and when matched with their railed upper, makes a super fine AR. $94.99 is a great price for them too

Bought a complete Spikes - and love it. Had zero problems (once I learned not to "ride the charging handle"), and it shoots wonderfully. Buy with confidence.

I prefer JD Machine. I really like the fit and finish.
