23 moa built in cant? Dang my Rem700 Badger Ordnance rail is a 20moa......wouldn't that be only for 24" barrel long-distance shooters? Not likely to top that off with a Eotech or ACOG on a 16" build huh.

          It won't matter.
Any sight should have more than enough elevation adjustment to properly zero it.
There will be 5-8moa of adjustment needed just to compensate for sight height.
That means that with a 23moa rail, you are adjusting only about 15moa down instead of 8moa up.

How much money are you looking to spend?

That would be a good starting point you can build a complete setup for a little over 1k if you hunt around for deals or spend several thousand on something tacticool.

Theres several makers of .308 semi autos many of them comming into the 308 realm for the first time asking for WAY too much money for a dismal in house specialty.

JP makes great guns but prepare to have some deep pockets.
GAP can build you one just the way you want it and pretty darn accurate as well.
J&J makes a decent looking 308 but havent seen one perform at the range so I cannot attest to their claims of accuracy.
Iron Ridge lowers/uppers look nice and perform just like all the other lowers.
Theres well over a dozen manufacturers to choose from with a wide range in price and lead times.
DPMS is usually pretty good about being the most affordable platform with many people starting there and being happy with the choice.
Just research before you buy and avoid all the FUD about each manufacturer out there as the band wagons are already packed.
If nothing else try a few guns out at the range and see which you like and go from there. I started out that way and couldnt be happier with what I chose.
