Looks like they'll redirect to this page once the countdown ends but it's not done yet.

      This is real cute.

PLEASE NOTE: Bushmaster will sell the ACR to commercial customers and state and local law enforcement agencies. Initial shipments for the Basic commercial configuration are slated for March 1, 2010; followed by release of the Enhanced commercial version on May, 1, 2010. Versions for the law enforcement community are configured for the unique operators’ requirements and restricted for sale. Remington Arms Company, Inc. will sell the Remington branded ACR to US Military, US Federal Agencies and select foreign militaries.
Say what you will about the SCAR, but FN has always been more than happy to support civilian gun owners.

Don't blame the respective companies. Word on the street is that Cerberus Capital Management, the private equity conglomerate that owns the Freedom Group, Inc. (Of which Remington, Bushmaster, and AAC are a part of) plans to offer an IPO of the Freedom Group.

I wonder if they have the final say in the pricing...

When you get down to it, they're in business to make money. Either way, it will sell high at first but come down once the market gets saturated.

Well, I am officially not buying an ACR until they come to their senses. That rifle is not worth 3k no matter how you look at it. Maybe ACR actually stands for ABSURDLY COSTLY RIFLE

I can't believe that $3k price is actually real! That's nuts! I was willing to forgive that it's a few years late, but doubling the price is something I just can't quite make sense out of.

Anybody going to SS who wants to ask them about it? On video? That's just crazy...
