Those prices are fairly ridiculous. Isn't a SCAR cheaper than that?

On the other hand, I actually like the "Basic" version better. Don't have to worry about pinning the stock for length (if it's needed) and all the other good stuff. I would still like a collapsible stock similar to a UBR setup rather than just a fixed stock.

Is anyone working on mag locks for the ACR yet?

How can BB designs be in the works if nobody has been able to look at the gun yet ?
Replying to craigslist for casual encounters is like pokemon with STDs. Gotta catch em all
If Hell ever needed a operations manual all it would need is a copy of California's laws

Pretty much. It'd be nice if they would make a "build to order" kind of purchasing process on a rifle designed around modularity.

Hopefully some BB manufacturers get to spend some time chatting with Bushmaster/Magpul this coming weekend.

I was wondering about the BB as well, especially since it mentions an "ambidextrous mag release" (OH NOES!) . As for the enhanced model, meh, I prefer the simplicity and price of the basic.

Well, there goes that plan. Thats a lot more than I personally would be willing to pay for it. I'll keep my $$ til something changes.

I agree. I was prepared to pay around 2k for it, but 3k is a joke!

Those prices are completely ridiculous. I'm not sure what excuses they can make to explain why a $1400 rifle should cost $3000. I mean really, it's mostly injection molded plastic which costs next to nothing to mass produce.

Even if you make estimates on the high side and put the lower at $100, the stock at $100, the barrel at $300, the upper receiver with bolt assembly at $500, a nice railed handguard for $300, MBUS for $80, and a PMAG for $20, that still comes out around their old $1400 estimate.

What could possibly explain the additional $1600?

And I thought I had enough money saved to buy one. Man was I wrong.

I really, really want one, but don't need one at that price. I think I'll sit tight for about a year and wait for the price to become reasonable. That'll also give them a chance to fix any flaws the first-gen, mass-produced rifle may have. It seems like all of these new rifles have a kinks to smooth out when they are fresh off the line anyways.
