LOL!!!!!!!!Cerberus can go choke on a dick. It might as well have been made by H&K.Replying to craigslist for casual encounters is like pokemon with STDs. Gotta catch em all.If Hell ever needed a operations manual all it would need is a copy of California's lawsComment

Ok, it's pricey...but I'm sure you'll be able to buy a lower assembly, and go from there as you get some more cash, right?Comment
-
Highly unlikely.
Bushmaster/Remington is the only manufacturer and they will be concentrating on making/selling complete rifles.
The ACR is not parts compatible with any other existing rifle system.
The lower reciever of the ACR is just a part and can be shipped without a FFL dealer being involved.
The upper reciever of the ACR is the part with the serial number and requires a FFL dealer to be involved with transfering it.sigpic

Ah, I see. So if they're the only manufacturer, then they should make the upper receiver available through FFL transfer and sell everything else online. Hey, all the money goes to them eventually. I realize that I'm preaching to the choir here. My point is, since it's a modular rifle and meant to be built with ease and by hand, then why not sell the controlled part as a base. Greedy bastards.Comment

They're a business, putting out a brand new and highly desireable product.Ah, I see. Greedy bastards.
What do you expect?
Price tag sucks, but I'm sure they'll fly off the shelf.
I'm sure in the future aftermarket stuff will become available for it.Originally posted by GioIt is so nice to drop mags freely even though I do that now with my featureless AR and AK it is not the same as the real thing. Like Coca Cola here in the US compared to Mexico with real sugar not corn syrup!

I suspect there are a lot of potential buyers in shoes similar to mine, though. If it was the discussed ~$1,500... I'd plunk down the cash instantly. But at $3,000? I'm not likely to buy one.
Sure, they'll still fly off the shelf. But they would've sold dramatically more rifles if they'd stuck to their original discussed price point... at least within reason.Comment

In our current economy and with the price of ammo I doubt they will be that hot of a seller. In addition if its not a hot seller, you can bet that there won't be that much aftermarket support. As much as everyone is always looking for the latest and greatest, the AR will be the best for the foreseeable future due to wide availability of parts and low prices due to competition. When you have a sole-source manufacturer controlling prices, ownership just will not be that high and as a result aftermarket support will be limited at best. (think of HK aftermarket compared to AR15 or 1911 aftermarket parts compared to sig or HK pistols)Comment

Wowsers $3000.00 Won't even have enough money leftover to buy Clone glass =(
ACR $3000.00+TAX+Shipping+Dros+Tijicon+Case+other addons = Divorce (not married, but i can see that happening)
We are looking at almost $5,000 - $6,000. I got an idea use that 6k plus the 8k the goverment gives to buy a new house, REFI in 2 years and buy an ACR when they are around 2K.Comment
