I actually have no idea what you are talking about, hahah. That must be the issue with us, we speak different languages, heh.

You mean .357 Sig followers for G22's with a .357 Sig barrel?

"Glock has now come out with the "5" on their brand new Glock .357Sig followers. The "4" follower is acceptable, but a "2" is NOT acceptable due to feeding issues. It's why Glock has changed the followers 5 times now. Any chance you good folks at Midway can stock up with the new and improved "5" marked .357 followers please? "

I actually have a .357 Sig barrel conversion for my G22C and G22 RTF... and some followers work well, some do not. The shapes of the cartridge neck actually DO SOMETHING, hahah.

That is actually well know, kind of like the old news that Frog Lube is low grade coconut oil with mint extract that gums up your firearms. The only lube where migration is bad, hahah. This might be another topic (off topic) where you are late to the party.

    Back on topic... heheh.

PLA grips at 30% infill seem plenty strong to me with a lot less flex (super rigid) then the original ones I have... dunno about the fit with MIAD or spring yet... have not even printed a spring. I'm sure ll this was hashed out when the files were released, but I think consumer 3D printers may have improved bit since then... and the CURA slicing engine just improved last revision as usual.
let me know if you will sell me one. i want to have a spare around.

I can't recall if this guy has a commercial printer or not, but he sells them and supposedly they are improved. Pretty cheap for a 3x pack or $15 bucks each... a lot better than the original price... less than a third?

If he uses good nylon and a decent commercial printer, this is a deal IMHO.

I just wanted the files to play with (like everyone else) since got into 3D printing fairly recently. Another option anyway.

I have one Exile fin installed and it is installed permanently... so using that MIAD to fit is out... just checked. I have a few of those ambi VISM fin grips installed where I used to have Backfins that lost the springs or just seemed wonky... they would get loose if they were not 3M taped or epoxied. If I can locate my MIAD take-offs I will see how the PLA+ ones fit.

I found one takeoff MIAD that still has the EXILE fin on there and the spring was even there, but it moves a bit maybe just because it not on a rifle... the PLA fin is noticeably tighter but goes on... harder to get it off (absolutely no wiggle or movement as it friction fits pretty tight). I would say the fit is good on the first one I printed at standard quality with a .4 nozzle at 30% infill. Seems about s rigid as the original and doesn't seem like it wants to break, but it is PLA.

                    Is your Miad a 1.0 or a 1.1?
I was wondering if the model works for both of the versions.
                    I only have a 1.0 so I don't know what changed between the 1.0 and 1.1 versions.

Mine should all be 1.1 since I bought them all specifically for using with Backfins. They say the 1.0 is real tight with the original. I am printing another tester on my LK-5 PRO printer... even using the same slicer, you can get different results slicing for different printers with default settings... I will see how the fit is on output from the other printer. I can already see the surface texture looks different/better. That printer tends to print sharper on the defaults than my AnyCubic printer.

Blue one slides on easier, still a good fit (no slop at all with no spring). Different printer, same brand "PLA+" but these are $12 spools, so it is not $$$$ PLA. GST3D brand filament. I definitely like the output from the LK5-PRO better, probably just the slicer.

I just sliced and through it on the printer. Used PLA Plus.
Could probably fine tune it to make the top more smooth, but maybe having it the way it is might be better for grip.
Now I need to buy a Magpul grip to try it out. I may go from mag lock to featureless if it feels good.

                        Thanks Crufflers!

Glad the file is out there more widely now. 3D printers are a lot more common these days. We can definitely make our own with these STL's. I hve no idea how to get that spring in there but depending on how you permanently attch the fin... the spring might not be necessary... I definitely think PLA is strong enough for the fin.

                          What infill did you use?

I used, or it was set to, 20% cubic. If I make the change over, I'll use a higher percentage.

20% is usually what I use too for normal stuff... have not been printing for a while, I didn't even check level... just leveled my LK-5 PRO because the last fin I started to print lifted off the glass... level was def off.

30% infill takes like 4-5 hours to print this fin.

I hear he has the hammer head grip too, if anyone is interested

Off topic, how do you like the LK5? I was thinking about getting one to print some helmets in one piece.
