My recommendation, find a good FFL in your area with reasonable fees. They are out there, do some homework and you'll find one!
Order the AR you want online! The FN 15 is a great rifle with a good reputation to back them up.
I ordered mine from Family Firearms, <$900 shipped to SoCal. At that price I'm changing a few things out (stock), I hate that thing but for the price you can still buy CA compliant components and come out for way less that what your local shop is asking.

So, what do you really want?
True wealth is time. Time to enjoy life.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy schit...what a ride"!!

I think his prices are right around there, although that might be with the NRA discount. Which is cool.

Been meaning to try him for a transfer. I always just pay the $60 to Fort Courage armory. Which I really don’t have a problem with. And Tim and the guys always take good care of me.

But I wouldn’t mind supporting some other local guys too on occasion.

I also used super spectrum in Thousand Oaks a while back. Selling on a ppt. Further from my house but they were nice to deal with and pretty good price if I remember correctly. Not sure if they’re still around.
Is Fort Courage $60? Thought it was $75 last time I did one there. Ya Ken is $30 with NRA, CRPA, or some other gun rights memberships. He's a nice guy, I'll use him again.

I do like Fort Courage and the people that work there, good store and folks.
