Lots of people have me cut and crown 18" midlength threaded barrels into unthreaded 16" barrels.
I also cut the threaded portions off of many barrels that are long enough to stay over 16" after the threads are removed.

I shot all sorts of handgun, 2gun and 3gun matches for 20 years.
I'm well aware of what's involved.
Malfunctions have not been an issue.
My malfunction rate is under 1 per 500 rounds fired.
My favorite malfunction was a case head separation on the last round fired of SMM3G in about 2008 or so.
It was on the longrange stage where I placed about 7th out of the 180 shooters.
The RO caught the live round that was shoved into the front half of the fired case while clearing the rifle.

I understand that but most current arguments are Maglocks only allow 10 rds and I will concede that but in a SHTF scenario I won't have to. Some here have even mentioned well all I need to do is change my grip if the SHTF. Why if it was so easy to use?

but the most consistent argument here for featureless is that you can't clear malfunctions nor do you have bolt hold back which is clearly untrue.

I train differently. I'm a low round count guy because anyone can press a trigger. Doesnt mean you'll hit a target but I'd bet if I were to focus on malfunctions and stuff that really matters when your primary goes down I dont need 30 rds to do it. 2 to 3 rounds to get to my induced malfunction and clear as quickly as you've trained. Case head separation need not apply nor the token squib but again training to your secondary in such a case is paramount to whatever compliant device you have or use or claim to be the Go To here in California.

again its everyones choice but I defer to my original statement that "there is no best. just what's best for you" Featureless isn't best for everyone and neither is maglock
