I use a "AK Builder" press for the short rivets and a modified AK Builder press for the long through rivets.

This receiver is a Nodak spud 100% receiver so I didn't do the center support rivets.

Where did you get the non bulged yugo front trunnion?

      looks almost unissued
      Thanks!

The kit is a older import with it's original barrel and all matching parts. It was a new rifle when it was cut up for import. Just some storage dings in the wood from the demil process and shipping.

The M70AB1 rifles were the "AKM" variant built by the Yugo's using the non bulged trunnion and the 1mm thick AKM type receiver.

This same trunnion and receiver was used on the M92 rifles.

Here are a few pic's of a M92 I built at least 15 years ago. The M92 is the Yugo version of the "Krinkov" short rifle. You can see it too has the non bulged "AKM" trunnion and thinner 1mm receiver.

No, no spot welds as has been seen on some of the M72 RPK types.

It was the Yugo's who did these not the Czech's...
