    M70AB1 build

Built this little blaster in the past few days. Original barrel all matching kit. The M70AB1 is a AKM based model with the standard weight receiver and non bulged RPK type front trunnion. Similar to the M92.

One thing which was unusual about this kit was the serial number location on the kit. Usually they are numbered on the left side of the front trunnion, however some (very few) Yugos had their serial numbers on the actual receiver...

Also had to cut the receiver to accept the rear cover latch.

Went together real nice. Building using a original barrel is a real snap!!

I actually had a friend over who wanted to see the process while I was building this one.

This one took a total of 7 hours.

Very nicely done, especially the rivets, look very clean.

Looking good SVT. What setup/tool do you use to press the trunion rivets and center supports?

Very good job done on the rivets!

Where did you get the non bulged yugo front trunnion?

                          looks almost unissued

Was the front trunnion spot welded into the original reciever like some other CZ produced AK types?
