Don’t just give up after trying it once.
Listen to protohyp...
I needed to adjust the one on my carbine ...
Personally...I would install the kingpin first and then loosen the screw on the Maglock to where it’s almost loose.
If I cranked down the screw on my mag lock normal tight-the thing wouldn’t work at all.
When testing with it barely finger tight it worked fine so I locktited it there.
Like I say run the screw a little bit loose and see if you can get the arm to slide in there.
Then snug it up just enough to keep functioning good.
Now I lucked out -mine worked fine with the bolt forward or back- but you may have to play with it with the bolt forward for a while.
I fully expected mine not to work with the bolt back but I was pleasantly surprised.
But many owners need to have everything wear in first to Drop mags with the bolt back.
First get it working with the bolt forward and then keep working that thing dropping mags and get it to wear in between the receivers, and also shoot the hell out of it as much as you can to get the bolt carrier group to settle in to the tube.
