Thanks Siskin. What receiver set are you using. We are tying to compile a database

The fingernail issue is with the .308 Kingpin.

Also, I learned an important lesson. The AR Maglock Gen 2, intended to be used with the Kingpin is very picky about the upper receiver design. It worked fine on my AR pistol (unsure of upper manufacturer) but did not even come close to fitting on my Larue upper or my DPMS upper. The profiles of the upper receiver hit the mag lock, preventing me from even installing it.

The new Gen 4 design should alleviate those issues. Basically with the new design you have width adjustability so there is no need to shave down the maglock to get it to fit.

So what protohyp really said is, send the gen 2 back and he'll exchange it for the gen 4.

So I installed mine. It sucks. The release wont fit between the upper and lower with the bolt back. And when I wiggle it enough to get it in there, it drops the mag, and stays, doesn't pop back out like it should.

I put a ton of trouble shoot videos and links on my thread As well as on AR mag locks YouTube channel. If you have less than 1000 rounds through that rifle and it is new it needs to be broken in and shot a little bit more before that gap opens up
