Ruger 9mm takedown that can accept Glock mags

Ohhh I wouldn't mind another Dragon, but not for $144... I think I paid $90 for both of mine.

That was a result of 1 min Google search. I am sure once the market is flooded with this carbine, the 9mm brake manufacturing will follow, and with better prices. I agree $144 is way too much for a brake. On other hand, if this carbine becomes HD dedicated gun, it will be only the best or nothing, regardless of $.
Will see, the more I think about it, the better I like the idea to have one.

There’s no caliber debate. What sparked the arguments was myself and others simply stating that the popularity of .40 s&w is decling more and more. The reason this point was brought up was the reasoning why Ruger probably won’t develop a version of the rifle in 40 s&w. 9mm was brought into the conversation because it is big reason why .40 is on the decline. .40 is an effective defense round and nobody said it wasn’t. It’s just that some people got super defensive over people talking badly about their favorite caliber. That’s where the butt hurt came from.

I’m not sure why there are people in here saying .40 isn’t on the decline when it’s common knowledge. This isn’t my opinion. There’s plenty of evidence to support my statements. I listed the evidence already. It’s not like .40 is going to disappear because it won’t. The ammo will still be readily available and there will still be new handguns made in the caliber. Just less and less like were already seeing.

Again, I just really, really, really hope Ruger will come out with a conversion kit in .40, that would be soooo AWESOME! Then I could shoot 9mm out of it AND .40! And use my Glock magazines too!

One gun that can shoot two or more calibers with only changing a couple of components. Oh the HORROR!!! Haha, Im so butthurt BTW.

But 9mm is superior and so popular its a stupid idea to want to be able to use other calibers, its simply not what people want so Ruger will never do it. Heh, they probably didnt even think about it because its such a worthless unwanted idea.

Thats what I was thinking too, how will it handle hollow points and +p or even +p+. Im sure Ruger has taken this into account.

Whats funny is 9mm has always been super popular, its one of the most popular pistol calibers of all time. Some people are acting like its popularity is a new thing. Its not. That being said, .40 isnt going anywhere.

I don't know how this turned into a caliber debate. The simple fact is Ruger is not likely to develop a conversion, if that's even feasible, for a caliber in rapid decline. It doesn't matter how much you or the other posters think it's wonderful, if Ruger doesn't expect a big audience, they won't make it.

It is alway plus for any gun to be able to shoot more than one caliber and to take more than one type of magazines. Regardless of caliber.
