Ruger 9mm takedown that can accept Glock mags

Since you have both can you comment on pros and cons of both or handling characteristics?

My opinion only, while I have had the scorpion longer, first time out with the Ruger I actually like it better.

Recoil seems about the same, neither rifle has a muzzle brake.

Scorpion
The CA featureless hurts the handing benefits.
No folding stock, No stock adjustment, grip wrap, 10rd magazines.
Trigger sucks, possible welded trigger pack.
magazine release, hard to use.
Charging round hard.
Field strip no tools required.

I have added HB industries, theta trigger, theta charging handle, duckbill mag release and trigger spring kit. These helped a bit on the above

Ruger
CA approved right out of the box.
Good trigger
Uses Glock and Ruger magazines.
Takedown for compact travel
Charging round easy
Field strip hex wrench and inch lb. torque wrench.
Similar to using Ruger 10/22.


I cannot really find any faults on the Ruger except needed tools to strip for cleaning. Would have been nice to come with a bag like the 10/22.

For the price of the original scorpion and HB parts. I could have purchased 2 Ruger carbines.

Very old news and has been covered here before. So far most, if not all, report that PC Carbine runs like a champ.
