Wow, doing some research, I found an article dated in 2010 that there is a Dragunov Tiger chambered in 6.5x55. That would be a unicorn quest for me. Just might have to wait until the kids are out of the house though. Sounds expensive.

The PSL is basically a big AK. more like an RPK. Piston driven, just bigger. Te bolt is bigger, gas system is bigger and everything.

The SVD TIGR gas system is more like an sks, short stroke and you can remove the trigger pack like an sks and vepr pioneer mix. and the bolt is also like an sks bolt, sort of

The only real similarities are aesthetics only. Similar style of receiver, but not the same, similar looking safety selector and dust cover, but also not the same.

The internal operating mechanism are very different. The bolt is way different, the SVD uses a short stroke gas piston vs. long stroke on the PSL. There is nearly no (possibly none at all) parts interchangeability between the two models.

Think of it like a budget bolt gun like a Mossberg Patriot or a Ruger American vs. a Remington 700 with a nice glass bedding job. They might look fairly similar on the outside, but they are far from the same.
