Gap between featureless grip and stock

Hi everyone. I recently got the strike industries simple featureless grip. There's a gap and I can get my thumb around the back to where it sits below the bottom of the trigger hole. Is this still legal?

If you can get your thumb around it, no.

Thanks for the response. I've heard some people say that the webbing has to wrap around also. Does this have anything to do with it?

I wouldn't want to have to pay my lawyer to discuss this with a judge after I had spent a few nights in jail had all my guns taken. that's just me.

How in the world can you get your thumb around that below the trigger.... you must have huge hands.
If you can get your thumb around it its not featureless.

If you want to make that legal "monsterhands" just pvc glue another flat piece of kydex that follows the contour of the a2 stock. Just make sure it is chemically bonded and not just glued.

                      OP you should be fine.
                      Here is the definition.
"pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon" means a grip that allows for a pistol style grasp in which the web of the trigger hand (between the thumb and index finger) can be placed below the top of the exposed portion of the trigger while firing.

                      Senator Leland Yee ^

I sure won't trust that as GTG. I'd extend it so you can't get your thumb around, or replace it with something else. (As suggested by others above.)
