Featureless Dros

"It is currently CA legal to modify a double-action revolver into a single-action revolver and modify a single-action revolver into a double-action revolver.
CA DOJ BOF stance on modifying handguns only applies to dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistols.
^It does not apply to revolvers, manually operated repeating pistols, and semi-auto pistols." ~~ Quiet -
AO Sword in El Cajon is up to speed on featureless and alternative mag release products. They, like most FFL's right now, would probably prefer you come in after the first due to the last minute AW buyers trying to pickup before January 1.Comment

I don't know if they will DROS them but I saw two featureless AR15s at Poway Weapons and Gear last night when I went to use the range. I also overheard an employee at the counter saying that that is how they will be selling AR/AK pattern rifles in the new year.
Will they DROS them right now though, I am unsure of.Comment

The last minute buyers have already missed out on their chance... factor in the 10-day waiting period and there is no way anyone can purchase and pick up before Jan 1... I'd imagine stores are actually pretty empty right now.Comment

Or filling up again... now that the "panic" 2016 law sales are over, all the gun shops can put all their featureless rifles on the racks and start selling those.
Theres also alot of people who will wander in thinking they have 6 days before the end of the year to buy the gun on the wall, not realizing they can buy it next year as well... assuming its featureless or has a "fixed mag" - they just wont be eligible for the open AW registration ... that only truly affects pistols with magazines outside the grip that cant be configured with fixed mags - almost every other configuration can be setup in a matter thats compliant with the fixed mag law.Comment

Now the question is...
How, as in equipped will AWs be outfitted?
Brake or cap? I think cap
Grip? This is what I really want to know
Stock? Pinned, or...sigpic
