PSA Melonite barrels - who makes them?

Pretty much the title says it all. I scored a 20" PSA marked upper this weekend for $200 new in box with a premium BCG and CH. I have one of their FN CHF Premium M4 uppers and it's been solid but I was wondering if anybody knew who made their PSA marked Melonites. This isn't a freedom or a ptac upper so I would hope it's halfway decent.The upper is nicely put together and is very smooth cycling. From what I understand melonite coating can actually be more accurate than chrome lined because its a surface treatment instead of a coating. My MP-15 Sport has the 1/8 5r melonite in it and it's an absolute tack driver.

Where did you get your info from? Usually PSA will list if they are FN barrels on their site.

Your reading it wrong that post was written before PSA offered melonite barrels. The only PSA barrels that where FN made at that time where the 5.56 CL 4150 CMV and the CHF 5.56 CL 4150 CMV barrels. Since then the only others has been their CHF 416 stainless 5.56 barrels and for a short time available CHF .308 CL 4150 CMV PA10 barrel.

Haha Yeah i couldnt pass it up! I don't think he has anything else for sale at the moment but I'll pass the sentiment along!!!

I've already got one of the RRA Match triggers (63 bucks) and full LPK's that ive brought together from various upgrades to my and friends guns, etc and all that...and it'll be built on an 80% lower i got for xmas...so all said and done I'm going to be in this 20" AR for less than 350 Bucks Cant go wrong with that at all!

Source? Im interested in their nitrided uppers, but I want a reputable company like FN or Wilson.

Like with anything on the internet, I've read somewhere that any barrel, other than their CHF, are from the same manufacturer of PTAC.
