    Problems with impactguns.com

I placed a backorder of 2 Armalite lower parts kit from them and they sent me an email today saying that my order is being cancelled, due to illegal items. Is there's such law forbidding purchasing LPK in CA or they just pulling it out of their arse? I tried to call them up but their office were close.

They probably don't know the legal ramifications. You might be able to discuss it with them.

THEY are not responsible for how YOU use the parts kit. Just make sure to tell them that in California, it isn't illegal until/unless you assemble your AR with the LPK using the included Mag release AND pistol grip.
Nothing to see here. . . Move along.

Lot's of places have been doing this for years. I tried to buy a scope mount years ago from a vendor I will not mention, they told me it's a banned illegal item, I laughed, and gave my $$ to somebody understands what's legal and what's not. Rather the learn the laws it's easier to just write CA off. Trying to explain the law to these folks seems to be a waste of time, been there done that. I almost can't blame them, it's hard for folks on CAGUNs to keep track of the laws here in CA. For many dealers, they don't have the time to research the laws and what if they make a mistake on a very low margin item. It's not worth it.

Some idiots are afraid to ship a pair of shoes into CA. F**k them. Just buy from the folks who support Californians like our sponsors up top. A few threads ago folks were saying that CMMG is shipping LPK's direct within a week. I ordered 3 RRA kits from Rainier Arms a few weeks ago & they arrived in a few days.

Did they list the "illegal items"? Did you order an Armalite receiver?

Top Gun has RRA kits for a good price and they arrive third business day.

It is actually illegal to ship some boots to California. Kangaroo boots are one example.

You might try to discuss it with them, might not help, but it couldn't hurt.

They are aware of whats legal in Cali as far as complete firearms are concearned, , they even have a link on their sight telling you what is a go or no go, maybe their just a little confused as far as parts are concearned? I've bought AR parts in the store before, but I never tell them any more that I'm from Cali, I even make sure I have cash on me, because if they ask to see your ID for credit/debit card purchases, when they see Cali, their afraid to deal with you.

My son and I often shop in Impact arms, my daughter lives right down the street, it's a cool store, lots of class three stuff in there, I always drool over the MG34 and stuff like that , you can even rent class three stuff and shoot in their indoor range.

Butttt, if your looking at guns, and they find out your from Cali, I've had them ask for them back so they could put them away, they don't even want you looking at guns, any guns, now we know, never tell an out of state gun store your from Cali, or the cases might be locked up.

This is interesting. They must have changed attitudes in recent years because I remember specifically back in 2001/2002, I ordered an A2 stock and an M4 stock from them with no problems. I even called them up and talked to them in person about the Surefire weapon light for the AR and I had a long conversation with the Impact Arms employee about the Colt I was going to throw it on.

Even with the PG and mag release you could build it with a 22 rimfire upper.

Because Kangaroo's are endangered in California.

That's curious, because a number of motorcycle track suits and protective gear is made with kangaroo leather.
