Or you could just separate the upper and lower. Don't you think that is easier? Without an upper, it isn't a semi-auto, centerfire rifle, is it? No. It could be bolt action, it could be rimfire. It is in fact none of those things, it just a receiver/frame. You do NOT need to remove the features if the upper is off of the lower.

Has anyone that bought a Raddlock for their AR actually shot their rifle with it installed yet? I am concerned about the adjustment potentially loosening under fire. Any problems with this? I have already purchased two of these locks, but am waiting to install them.

Iawaia - I've shot my rifle with this. Switched between my .22 upper and 7.62 x39. When I tightened the raddlock with tht 7.62 upper, it did not back out, still had to use bullet tip to drop the magazine. I shot over 100 rounds with 7.62 and 300 rounds with the .22 in one session. No backout/loosening issues.

Went through rattle and shake test far more worst than actually shooting the rifle during test phase. The 10+ lb spring pressure keeps things tight.

But, if want some extra added security a drop of Blue Loctite will keep everything in check.

It seems that the shoulder portion of my mag catch is too long (Stag LPK) so when I first put it on, I had to use both o-rings in order to make the housing flush with my receiver. This also made the button feature less than reliable.
Not being satisfied with having to use both o-rings and barely gettting it seated, I decided to file down the shoulder just past the threads so it wouldn't bottom. The right thing to do would've been to thread it the rest of the way but I don't have an extensive thread kit.
My mag catch shoulder is ugly now but no one will ever see it.
                  Anyone else had this issue?

                  Thanks
This is one of the inconsistency in spec regarding the AR Parts kits.

First of all make sure you did not use a AR-10 Mag-Catch on an AR-15 receiver.

The mag-catch "Threaded Stud" has variable height depending on the manufacture. If it requires you double up on the O-ring for proper seating of the AR Raddlock, then I highly recommend you either use another mag-catch with shorter Stud or take off 1mm to 2mm off the tip of the threaded stud if you do not wish to double up on the O-ring.

Just installed mine, did in in 1min 30seconds, including removal of bullet button. Got it from riflegear, it came in 2 days. I had already bought the bullet button removal tool from that guy, so that's why that came out so easy. Raddlock, what a nice product.

Ive sent plenty of rounds downpipe on the one AR I have with the Raddlock.

Let me go check it now.

Nope, snug as day one. Soon all of my ARs will have these.
