yea but the Gun Dealers sure are gouging during this panic buying, everyone just needs to calm down nothing is going to change immediately - it would take years.

otherwise everything gun related is going up, the gun stores are even fanning the flames to keep it going - spooking the unwary. all you have to do is go into a store and listen to them lead the lambs to slaughter.

and like the oil companies the prices never go back to before the scare. I talked to Noveske today they are selling lowers at the same price maybe up $25.00, but we are seeing them sell at gun stores for $100-150.00 more.

be smart these guys are looking to gouge you for as long as possible.

Supply and demand. The demand is way up right now. You shouldn't begrudge a store/FFL from charging what the market will bare when the demand is up. That is, unless you also are upset and demand paying more when there are sales.

If you don't need it, don't buy right now. Give it a month and sell those safe queens for 10-20% higher when the supply is really low.

I did post that I was shocked and confused about a price on a particular mag, however I strongly support free market and charging whatever the market will bear. Free enterprise is what made America great, the only way the prices can go up is if consumers continue to buy the products.

Nobody is more pessimistic about the future availability of a particular firearm than the guy selling it - and if you want to really twist one of these guy's heads, after he quotes you some outragous price on a lower, pull a lower out of a bag and ask him what he'll give you for it.

The first rule of gun store pricing - everything they have to sell is priceless, anything you have to sell is worthless.

Im putting my neck on the line here so please take it for what it is. The truth of the matter is this. I am a vendor her in OC and most of you know who I am personally and know of my company. I have been having a simular discussion with another member thorough PM. When I had called all of the manufactures on Nov 5th the answer was we are sold out. After a week or so more lowers started to trickle in. Some, not all manufactures prices went up. The ones that did had limited product from what they told us. ( I really think they have more.) And would send us limited quanities. The demand forced people like me to keep up with the demand driving more employees, overnight shipping cost, and upfront payment for the product. Causing our prices to increase. I dont know when the dust will settle. But there is nothing to be had. Look on line check out stores, and most that do have product are charging a high fee. What I have noticed is that some of the internet stores have things at a lower price than CA stores, but they just now are tacking on funny fees such as a CFD transfer fee. Those of you who are not fimilar with CFD it is the California Firarms Dealer number. Every CA dealer has one. And in July of this year the DOJ now requires all FFL holders that ship to CA to log on to DOJ, enter their FFL# and the dealers CFD number they are shipping to and hit handguns or longuns and press procede the system verfies the info and prints out confirmation. Thats it. You pay shipping and usally a fee to pay with your credit card and then wait for it to ship. And pay a transfer fee usally between 75-125 dollars. That 150 dollar lower usally cost more that 250 dollars. So I understand the frustration on everyones part. I will anounce hopfully soon of some very reputable lowers comming in at a fair price. Dont want to jump the gun yet but I will let you all know.

I've bought a few lowers from guys in the recent wks or so............depends on what ya got........

Plus some guys are out of a job....etc...

While every one is still turning out product.....everybody wants one and every FFL in the country wants them to sell.....

Rifles will be the priority for manufactures....stripped lowers will still be a hot commodity for awhile....but there will be a few off brands that will still be a bargain....

A rcvr in the 200-300 range will still make a reasonably priced rifle.......
