Rear trunnion got hammered by the carrier for sure.

We are going to have to get together more often to shoot if we plan on reaching that 70,000 round count
    I agree!!

Picked up my Bulgarian SLR-95 with a milled receiver and cold hammer forged barrel back in the day. Wish I had bought several at $299.00 as they were really going for the big money a few years ago. Of course it will out live me as I rarely shoot it. The sad part is I can't pass it on as its named.

One is better than none! Glad you were able to acquire one at that price.

Yea but how often do you shoot it? I understand AKs are durable but the first thing to go would be an extractor or some bolt part. It's a machine and a matter of time before something breaks., that's why I like to have spare parts for any gun I own. Even in this testimonial he implies that head spacing gets loose and bolts are replaced

You can pass it on, just give it to your children or grandchildren. If you are really concerned with that specific law, you could always buy a new milled firing line receiver or some such, and build it on the new receiver

We replaced the entire upper assembly with a Titan Defense TD-415 upper that so far continues to function properly with zero issues.

As for the AK receivers, we have been so overwhelmed with the success of the range that we haven't had time to put them into production. We even received and ATF approval letter to add even more features than before!

If any of you CG's were some of the guys that stopped by and visited us at the old Henderson Defense spot you would be blow away. We moved from that warehouse to a 5-acre "park" style range on block off the Las Vegas Strip. We have HMMWV's, tanks, helicopters, APC's and all kinds of weapons systems dating back to World War I.

We do plan on going forward with the 80% AK receivers in the next month or two.

Have you tested accuracy of AK and ARs' when barrels got overheated by continuous automatic fire? The question is as old as rifle's design and I wonder if you have any measurements of accuracy drop to compare for overheated conditions.
If the question is repetitive I apologize, the thread is really long to check all responses.

I think it would be fun if HD converted an I.O. AK to full auto to see how many dozens of rounds it would last before a catastrophic failure occurs.

Are you trying to get someone killed?

Maybe volunteer to go up and shoot it till it grenades...they might be more apt to do it if they weren't risking losing an employee in the process.

"Stamped receivers split at the angle of the upper rail and the side wall"

I wonder how non heat treated flats hold up here?
