I have one Stag with JP single stage built for Grendel 6.5 uppers from
Patriot Arms & CSS(about to be sold) so i can buy some SLR15 receivers.

Stag Model 4 built up from parts. Got the lower from DD's Ranch, everything else from RifleGear. I did it in stages so that my wife wouldn't notice that I was building a $900 rifle.

When I first got the upper, I phoned Stag and asked them if I should tear it down first. The person on the other end told me that it should be ready to go. 40-50 rounds later, I found out otherwise. Nothing that a good application of CLP wouldn't fix, though.

I shoot Wolf Military Classic, basically because I'm cheap. I have to pay more attention to cleaning the chamber, not just the barrel, but I think that would apply to just about any upper shooting the laquered steel case. Other than that, I'm very happy.

I have a complete Stag 2HT, and I have had ZERO problems with it. I have used it for .223 and with my Ciener .22lr kit. For my next build I think I'm going to go with the 6H Varminter, but thats probably not going to happen till mid next year since I can't justify spending the money that people are charging right now. I just hope that the gun market calms down a little bit and prices get back to normal by this time next year.

I've got 3 Stag lowers and I have no complaints with them. Is this your first AR? Just curious as to why you chose the 5H.

yup it was the first one, i wanted to get an ready to assemble upper in 6.8 and had intentions to build my own 556/223 upper in the near future.

who here has an stag? i just want to know the ratio and what combo's you guys got.... i've started with an stag lower and ended up with an 5h upper (8 week backorder) due to the cost compared to others... also any problems you guys have with stag so far? and what part to upgrade first?

If you wanted to know the ratio then you should have put a poll up.
