I have a Stag Model 2&4 Model 2 has fisxed 10 round mag w\BB and Model 4 has a MM grip becauase I have pre ban 20 & 30 round mags to drop. I will get a model 6 upper.

I'm a poor sample here, as I've got like 13 lowers. But I think about 3-4 of them are Stag.

I haven't had any issues with their lowers WHATSOEVER.

On uppers, there are occasional Calgunner-reported issues when you first get 'em, which can be worked out quickly and painlessly under warranty.

I have one of their limited-run M4 uppers, which had an issue with the chrome lining plugging the gas port. It's run fine ever since it came back.

My wife has one of their 223 uppers -2H I think, and there's no issue with hers whatsoever.

2 lowers, no other parts from stag, my 2nd might get a stag uppen, like them. cmmg has a nicer finish lower though, but not available w/o obama pricing. Stag is nice.

i have a stag lower and a stag 3h upper. they're both great. the first thing i got rid of was the stock handguard and changed it for a vltor casv-el.

wow 8 weeks thats pretty good considering companies like LMT are at least 12 weeks out. i would have to say i would recomend an upgrade the hand gaurds to rails. let me know when you get iy up and running i am planning to build a 6.8 spc on my next build. would like to see how it turns out for you

The amusing thing is that, even with a significantly better finish, CMMG lowers always used to be considerably cheaper than Stag.

I've got 3 Stag lowers and I have no complaints with them. Is this your first AR? Just curious as to why you chose the 5H.

I have 3 Stag lowers. I may sell a couple of them to a buddy starving for AR stuff. They are my least favorite of the brands I own only because of the CORNY deer logo. I'm sure they are just as good as the others except I can't get over the logo. Petty reason, I know. LOL!

A couple Stag lowers. I've been quite happy with them and they have mated well with both Colt and Bushy uppers. No problems at all with them (more than I can say for my Smith and Wesson) and I like the Deer Stag roll stamp!

I have a stag lower, stag LPK, stag 2h upper 1:9, with the railed handguards. Miad grip, BB, A2 stock, MI BUIS, stock front post site. Have over 2000 rounds through the upper and have had no failures what so ever. I use bulk remmy and winchester ammo. The only thing I would recommend to upgrade would be the trigger pins(besides the handguards, etc). I have the KNS anti walk pins. One time at band camp the lower pin came out(not all the way) and caused burst fire(emptied the mag) at a range with LEO. I got hassled, got the lecture, I got the pins, now Im good to go. -Johnny
