You overpaid. I picked up 1k rounds of M855 for $339 shipped the day before it went OOS everywhere and I am not flipping it.

If a shop owner waits in line at walmart to buy ammo for resale at his shop later that day, Is he a flipper?
All depends on what he sells it for.

              Yep.
What if the gun store owner needs to mark up his goods that much to fund his retirement plan? The gun store wants the same retirement as the tax payer subsidised mail man. The gun store customers voluntarily buy from him while the tax payers dont get the freedom of choosing to pay for the mail mans retirement. The gun shop owner doesnt have the IRS collecting his retirement for him.

The normal 223 brass cased ammo used to go for about $299/1,000 before the panic and now it's about $349/1,000.

                Thanks guys!

^ so the price of .223 has only increased by 5 cents per round. Why not just say it that way instead?

There are still numerous options for .223 and 5.56 brass cased ammo for less than $350/1000 or $0.35/round.

Because that's how I look at the amount that is going to be on my credit card versus 5 cents more a round? Do you look at your credit card statement and say "oh look it's 5 cents a round more this month" or "Oh I spent $349 on 1,000 rounds of 223"?

^^^ When I buy I do look at price per round. Usually bulk is cheaper, but not always. I will order individual boxes over bulk if it's cheaper per round.

When it comes to 223 I always buy 1,000 rounds at a time because like you said bulk is cheaper therefore I am able to only look at the total price to see if it has gone up or down. I don't buy lose boxes here and there so there is less need for me to calculate the price per round. It's really no different then what everyone else is doing.

Oh, look. It's still under $349.
