I got a 16" mid length stainless steel upper with a midwest industries free float rail for 300... fit finish function and accuracy is great. It would be hard to justify looking elsewhere for my next ar build. That rail is like 180 by itself.

It looks like a complete kit minus the lower receiver. You can put on a carry handle or just a rear sight or an optic. For versatility, put on a folding rear sight such as Magpul and put either a scope/red dot on it. This is a long barrel, so a magnified scope makes more sense than a red dot.

i have that 20" PSA CHF upper. other than that canted sight issue its been great. @ $539, you can throw in a used KAC RAS and a carry handle for another $150 and have a pretty decent M16A4 clone (+$90 lower of chocie)

Right now PSA has free shipping when you spend over $100 (except on rimfire ammo), now through Sunday.

Good time to buy an upper or rifle kit, if you have the time to wait for it.

I've bought about 8~9 uppers from PSA over the past few years. Most were PSA brand, some were PTAC, and 1 was a Freedom upper. All of them came with a FSP except for one upper (SS12G2 handguard), and none of them were ever canted.

Not sure what happened lately with people reporting this, but I never had that issue.

Received my upper and build parts yesterday. Everything looks great and it lines up with my 80% lower perfectly. Once I build the lower I'll chime in with range results.

i dont think it's really the FSB that's canted.

I think it's what Randall describes in this thread:

and the solution is using the FSB as a lever to fix the slop positioning.

i did it with a mallet

One thing worth checking if you think you have a canted sight. Is to look at the m4 feed ramps in the barrel extension. If the barrel is slightly rotated within the upper you will see a misalignment of the feed ramps on the lower and barrel extension.
                    Now we know!

Just make sure to get the "Premium" uppers and parts, they actually seem quite a bit better.

I was pretty happy with the Dissy upper and the fast shipping What was it, Josh, 12 days?

I haven't been out this years, I think I'll slap the upper on another lower and test it out Sunday.

Mine seems pretty solid. PSA comes thought again. Two thumbs up for them.

Yup, I think it shipped 3 or 4 days after I ordered it. Super happy so far, though I did have to sand down the rear takedown lug on the upper for it to fit in either of my lowers. Slides in nice and easy now though. I was a little bummed seeing the bayonet lug on there though, I wanted to go featureless

Sounds like its time to bring out the hand grinder with a cut off wheel It shouldn't take but a minute or two to cut the lug off
