I'd go with a Remington 5R, Sendero, 40-XB, 700 LTR, M-24, or other custom gun manufacturer like GAP or otherwise. Good luck!

No, the reliant robin was definitely a car, the Carver is a weird one, and this is also claiming to be a "car" http://www.eliomotors.com/

Sorry, I was just going by the state's legal definition.

When you register a 3 wheeled vehicle, it registers/insures as a motorcycle.

Can you import a Tata Nano? I thought those were new in the sub-$3,500 range.

It might not meet the crash test or emissions standards or something.

The emissions standards are the craziest part.
Regardless of how clean an engine runs, it has to be equipped with certain hardware to be imported.
If you read about the water injected VW project that is getting 200-300mpg and runs so clean that it does not need any emissions equipment, you get frustrated when you find out they can't import them BECAUSE it lacks the emissions equipment.

The form must be filled out in blue or black ink because we said so...

I learned that on my last CA smog cert. It cost me two R700s after failing with perfect emissions.

Why not buy a quality pre-owned one and then it to Randall for a proper barrel and trigger? You'll get exactly the specs you are looking for. Subsequently a stock and whatever curb feelers and fuzzy dice you decide you want after shooting it a bit. You'll consider it 'yours' and from his hands it will be a higher-quality Rem 700 than you can buy new.

ive had both the Remington LTR and the AAC-SD rifles. BOTH shoot great. sold the LTR to my brother in law and bought the AAC-SD because it was a 1-10 twist and already threaded for a muzzle brake or suppressor. AAC (advanced armament corporation) is a sister company to Remington. they , alledgedly, are the ones making the barrels for this model. I prefer the AAC model over the LTR only for the 1-10 twist and threaded barrel.

IF your lucky enough to get the 5r barrel from Remington, your good. OR just buy a 700 rifle then get a Shilen, Krieger, etc barrel, send it to Randall and have him work some magic....and you will be better than the 5r factory set up.

Not sure it's the *best* option out there, but I've got a Rem. 700 AAC-SD in a B&C stock with an EGW 20 MOA rail and 10 power mil-dot SWFA scope. I put a JP brake in it and on old-school, reworked Remington trigger. I beat it like a rented mule, toss it in the back seat of my truck and clean it a couple times a year (maybe) and it's a moa gun with 175gr Federal GMM ammo. 1/2 moa or better(when I'm on my game) with handloads. I've proabably got less than $1400 in the whole rig (including spray paint) and it runs pretty good.
