Yes, obviously. I'm not a BR shooter, btw. OP asked about general target shooting, not PRS games.

I've done a few PRS-style comps with NCPPRC. They're fun. My rifle is a general purpose, do-it-all. Small groups when I want, long range when I want. Prone, off-hand, positional, off barricades/obstacles, etc. I use a bipod and a rear bag. Pretty simple. I don't worry about rain/mud/debris because I've never encountered that before while shooting, so it's not a determining factor when I shopped for a trigger. And I've gone out on BLM and National Forest land to shoot, hiking through forest and up the side of a mountain with my rifle. The thing just doesn't get that dirty *shrug*. This shouldn't be such a controversy.

And yes, it has a brake. But it doesn't kick up debris when I shoot, not that I've noticed anyway.

    Defiance Deviant Tactical
    Bartlein M24, 4-groove in 6.5 CM
    Sugeon DBM
    Jewell trigger (gasp!)
McMillan A5-A with KWM Loggerhead hardware
    Atlas bipod
    Tangent Theta 5-25
    Seekins rings

I have another rifle in the works at the moment. Starting with a Lone Peak Arms Fuzion action. The rest will be identical but might try a Bix-n-Any Tac Sport Pro trigger.

It's not like I'm fighting for Jewell's reputation here. I couldn't care less.

Those groups are routine for this rifle at 100 yards. 5 shots in the teens. And a target from NCPPRC 1,000-yard comp.

Steel plate is 66% IPSC at 1,200 yards.

This is Calguns. It hasn't rained here in decades lol

Ha ha yeah I hadn’t gone to matches much during covid, then went to an NRL Hunter match in San Diego and got rain and hail. Last two stages quite stupidly I didn’t bring my scope cover and my scope had hail stuck in the end bell and I couldn’t see anything. Got my butt kicked bad.

The muzzle blast issues come from crawling in tubes or under hay bales and shooting in confined spaces that throw the dirt around. Some PRS matches have stages that are like that and blast dirt and rocks everywhere. They absolutely do that on purpose to get you to flinch and/or break your equipment.

Or a free for all everyone on the squad shooting at the same time so the brakes on either side of you throw dirt sideways onto you.

Most of your pics are rolling green hills- dust and dirt isnt much issue there.

The last pic with the brush, your rifle isnt on the ground on the bipod. Its on a bench or table or the bed of a truck.

Not prone bipod in the sand.. Otherwise the brush would be in scope view... and you have to choose your spot carefully to avoid the brush. Then the dirt gets kicked up by other shooters in your squad. Or the wind. you arent dealing with the sand 4 feet off the ground unless the winds really kick up a dust devil.
