One step closer to joining the MLC....

It's official, the boredom has really set in.

Sometimes you bid on something just to see how it goes...

Can't blame it on booze, although I will be mixing some freshly squeezed orange juice and vodka shortly.

Fingers crossed, hopefully I can make an appointment to pay for and DROS it at the auction house, get approved in a reasonable amount of time and make another appointment to pick it up...

Oh my! I'm no Malin expert but I'd say ya got some JM action going on there Bob. Very very nice..

    .357 maybe?
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Nice one, Bob. Give us the specs and a range report when you get it in hand.
        You will love it.

          golfish - yes, it's .357 or .38

          Duece - it's a Marlin 1894C, 18.5" barrel (JM)

OK I was thinking of getting a Marlin after hopefully picking up my oddball 94 next week now that the seed has been planted you just watered it.
Anyone know much about the Martini cadet rifles per chance?

'gratz, Bob! Shooting a .357 lever carbine is about the most fun you can have with yer pants on with firearms!

.357 Magnum is one thing. .357 from a rifle (carbine) barrel is a "whole different animal"... and then there's handloading. Good grief. Too much fun.

Bob, I just checked with the MLC Administrative Board, Membership Division. You're already a member of the MLC. So is Ray PDA. For anyone else who wants to be in the Mojave Lever Crew (or is it the Marlin Lever Club? HEE!), just know that the only requirement for membership is a *desire* to own a lever gun.

                .

I have a Rossi 92 in .45 Colt with a Ruger Flat Top to match. Also a Rossi 92 in .44 Mag with a S&W 629 and a S&W 29. A Henry .22 with a few handguns in .22. I don't have handguns to match my 2 Win .30-30 94s or my Marlin Guide Gun in .45-70. (BFR makes handguns in both of those chamberings...)

I guess I would need a .357 lever gun to match my .357 handguns...

I was able to go in and DROS it this afternoon. So the easy part is done.

Calif Hunter, - it took me a while to get the rifle. I passed on one or two, while trying to look for a deal, which I never found. Finally just ponied up for one.

But yes, you do need to find a .357 lever gun...

Son, it sounds like you forgot to put powder in that cartridge.
