Might be going to Philipp's Wed. We'll see.

    I might be going too.

I was going to go shooting but I had an accident yesterday and nearly lost a whole fingertip.

Sashcord broke on an older window, slammed shut and chopped so much living tissue clean off my left middle digit.

It is a small but significant injury; enough so to impede shooting and ammunition magazine loading...

...not to mention the need to keep the wound clean and dry, at least for the next 3 - 5 days.

I hope your wiring did not burn very far. A real pain if you need to open the wall and replace burned wiring. Also lucky that is all that burned. I try and use flat plugs in any area that furniture is going to be pushed against the wall at an outlet. In an attempt to prevent a standard plug from being over stressed by pressure on it. May not have been the plug caused short, but should have tripped a circuit breaker.

Heal quickly Chris. Your 1911 grip will be painful for a while -- but tolerable.

Wolf, burns are plenty serious. Careful of infection, both you guys.

Geez, we need a full time doctor for our group.

                  Penn,
Have ridden with the same group for many years. Meetups are all about motorcycling.
One day the lunch discussion wanders to guns and motor sports. Was amazed at how many of the group had background in both. In fact about half the group carried. We incorporated a ride-n-shoot in our plans and that has been fun.
Guns, bikes, cars, adult beverages. Common denominator.

Thanks for your concern, my friend. No doctor can predict a broken window sashcord, and I have been all kinds of "on it" and all over clean and dry bandaging to prevent infection. Day 8 of healing with no sign of infection, starting to skin over under a healthy red scab. I can almost type with it now too.

                          That's funny.
Would you like a personal referral?.....just name the body part, and I'll send you to one of the best. Now that I'm a professional patient, I'm learning a whole lot more than I ever imagined existed. And it truly sucks.
