What an easy rebate to submit online too. Takes about 3 minutes if you have a scanner handy or your phone to take pics of receipt and box label. Got my rifle yesterday so I finally had the UPC in hand, submitted today. Last time I looked on KYGCO they still had the .308's for $272. Also have the 30-06 and the .204 Ruger for the promo price that dealers were getting. It'll be gone once they sell those out, FYI.

Glad they don't have any more 300 Win Mag or I'd have to figure out a way to afford one more.

I like what you've done with all the extra money you had after buying a $199 rifle.

          Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

              Just for clarification, that's a T/C Venture in 338, not a Compass. Nice price though for a 338 Bear-Buster.

I know, the Venture is a step up over the Compass. You can get a Compass for $5 less.

Damn that’s a smoking deal on the venture.

                  Must resist
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

The .300 Win Mag Venture would be nice too.

So, what does the Venture have in upgraded features vs the Compass besides being available in more calibers? LH Action?

I'll try to make a $198 rifle into a $800 rifle, but I dunno if it can be done

$500 scoped with a brake is getting there. Maybe I can find a $300 bipod and a $100 sling? That Viper should add more but I think I got that for $200.

A better stock with rubberized grip areas and beefier bolt? Downside is they only come with 3+1 magazines, whereas the Compass has a 5+1. Otherwise they share the same barrels and general overall appearance.

Barrel looked heavier to me and not threaded.

You might be right. Have only seen the venture in the pictures and have not handled one. Either one still seems to be a smoking deal.

Had my new TC Compass 308 out for the first time yesterday, loved it. Bolt knob sucks, but Glades Armory has that covered with nice aluminum knurled replacement. Falcon M18+ 4-18x44 works great on it and seems to be a good match price wise (just over rifle cost). Highly recommend this setup as entry bolt rifle.
