My Grayboe Ridgeback came in last week but i havent put the action on it yet.

Its brand new, i cant find any reviews on line. It is basically their Renegade, which is a licensed differently made copy of a macmillan stock, same family, but with an adjustible cheek piece and 12 m lok panels in the wide fore end, two on the bottom and two on each side. Apparently they plan to follow up with a chassis type bridge over the front using the m lok panels?

It appears well made. The inletting for the dbm is very well done, i think its actually molded that way, and there are no studs, but in the rear there are flush cups and the front has m lok, so a sling would be easy.

I hope to drop in the action and maybe shoot a video review tomorrow evening. Likely wont get it edited and uploaded until later in the week. Shooting it will have to wait a while.

I like it. The only downside is, the finish appears rattle can and i dont know how it will hold up.

        5R Stock

The 5r comes with an HS stock. Just add a Karsten Cheek Piece, glass bed the recoil lug and torque the stock to its proper inch lbs. Check mine out..

There are four questions of value in life... What is sacred? Of what is the spirit made? What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for.

            Yes.

The only fitment issue I've heard of has to do with Remington's action screws. On some models of 700 (there are about a zillion over the decades) the action screws are too short. Order the aftermarket ones from Brownells, cut them to length, and never worry about it again. They're like $6. Oh and Allen heads instead of blade screwdriver like the factory.

Factory Remington screws have been Allen socket screws for 15 years on all 700’s but the higher grade ones with polished blue finish.

I just picked up a used xlr element chassis. I have never been behind one before besides my friend rpr. After I dialed it all in, I see why people like it. Length of pull and cheek rise. Every time I get behind it. Always perfect. And the grip feels just right. The rifle grip felt awkward but now with the pistol I feel I can get the right grip to pull the trigger

Have you looked at the XLR Element chassis with the tactical light buttstock? They are not real expensive.

I also like the GRS Berserk rifle stock, which EuroOptic has for $625.30 as of this writing. Would the fit your needs? And budget?
