I have both an RPR ($2k total) and other setups that cost $7-8k.

Is there a difference? Yes, but to be completely honest, nothing wrong with buying one of the new $1200-$1750 precision rifles (Ruger, Savage, Bergara, Tikka, etc) with a decent Vortex $800 scope. They shoot great and most shooters, myself included, probably can't shoot well enough to need something more expensive.
Too many rifles, not enough time...

Heheh, it's like the guy who brings the Nissan GT-R or Corvette to the track day, and then posts marginally better lap times over the casual/roadster group.

Spend as much as you feel like spending.

I have about $600 into a Savage .22lr bolt gun that lets me shoot out to 500 yards. It is sub MOA at 100.

I have a 6.5creedmoor Ruger Predator that has about $800 into it including scope. It did 3/4 MOA at 200 a few days ago. All off the shelf stuff.

The glaring issue to me is the suboptimal choice of an AICS (or any chassis system stock) for a bench rifle.

Bench rest stocks are better served with a continuous bottom for the buttstock, even if angled / tapered, for bag riding.

Of course, a bipod would be replaced with something more ideal for bench shooting specifically a front rest with fine adjustments to adapt to varying bench and target heights. You could go with an F-Class style bipod if you want it attached to the gun, or just run a front pedestal style rest.

everyone would build a rifle different. So opinion are like *****holes.

Just run it and be happy with it or sell and buy something else.

I know your setup would not be my ideal. I would change everything. But again we are two different people

                  I would go :

                  BigHorn TL3
                  Manners MCS-PRS1 stock with chassis
Hardy's Rifle Engineering carbon wrapped barrel in Creedmoor 6.5
                  Timney trigger

Is that really worth the price compared to RPR?
The quality of the gunsmithing work likely determines if the money spent was worth it.
I don't see a new bolt listed so the effectiveness of the truing work is probably marginal to non-existant, especially at what you paid for the truing and barrel fitting work.
Ultimately, if it shoots stupidly well, it's worth it.

It might be better than you need though so in that case, it might not be worth it TO YOU...

Oddly enough after a day shooting at BLM land, I was thinking of the RPR in car terms and it is more like a corvette while customs are more like exoctics. Modern vettes are kind of bang for the buck and the is no much different. We had complete novice shooters getting on slightly over MOA sized targets at 500+ yards within 2-3 rounds while those with much more expensive customs werent doing much better. While both performed great, the fit and finish the the higher priced rifles was quite clear

Okay so maybe it's more like the guy who brings a Koenigsegg or McLaren to the track but post lap times only marginally faster than the Nissan GT-Rs and Corvettes

If I was you I would get the following parts - if you want a new rifle - and have Randall build it :

Tikka TX3 - buy the cheapest rifle you find and just keep the action and the bolt
20 or 30 MOA scope rail
One of the good custom barrels in 26" Creedmoor 6.5 - nothing pre-fit - contour : Remington Varmint or a Medium / Heavy Palma
                          KRG Whiskey 3 stock
                          Timney trigger
Timed muzzle brake and a thread protector so you can shoot al type of matches
Harris S-BRM 6-9", a PodLock kit and a bipod adapter

I think this is the cheapest route you can go for a custom build rifle
And a damn good combo !

Than rests a good scope mount / rings and a decent scope (something like a Athlon Argos 6-24x50 BTR - this saves you 50% over a Vortex PST) and you good to go on a 'affordable' budget !

I like my rifle, just don't want spend more money to finish it. It's fine as current setup.

You should have asked before . . .

Hopefully you like your rifle now . . .

                                If it shoots better than 0.25 MOA . . . . it's a 'good' one

Otherwise you spend way toooooooo much 😂
