Just PM me if you think they'll work. He has 30mm low TPS rings. They were just a **** hair to short for his 6-24x50 on a RPR. On a normal bolt gun they should work fine.

I just realized they dont make the B&C long action with magazine for savages!!

It's perfect for target or hunting. It's accurate because it's easy to shoot well(probably the mild recoil).
I have a 6.5 Swede project in my future. Just need to find the time.

If you have the freedom, could you do a photo collage of your work as it progresses?

i have a 6.5x55 Swede and absolutely love it. mild recoil, fun to shoot and quite accurate. I have taken many deer with that rifle.

I reload for it so i don't have to worry about the rounds.

OP you will love this rifle when you build it.

A long action B&C 700 stock will take long action Remington BDL floorplate, magazine box, spring and follower just fine.
If only Savage had standardized their actions like Remington has for 50+ years...

They did. And they did it before the 700 was released.

Then why are there 3-4 different action screw spacings and numerous photo guides on the web showing how to measure your Savage receiver to determine what stock you need?

Appearantly the B&C stock does not work for what the OP needs.

Yeah i am actually pretty let down. I got the savage for a song though so i guess I'll make it work.

I wasnt planning on getting a stock for like 6 months so I'll dress up the accustock and see if there is anything i can do to it to make it workable. I fuess i can always put a B&C on my Howa and then i will have two sick swedes lol but then my howa would he too heavy. Decisions decisions.

Ive never really thpught about them but since my options are so limited what about a boyds? Or do i just stick with my accustock

If the Accustocks works with the new barrel, shoot the Accustock first and then decide what to do. What happens if the Accustock shoots well???? You won't know until you try it.
