30-30 ammo too long?

So here's the story. I recently bought a used Marlin 336 and with it a bunch of ammo. The bulk of the ammo (14 boxes) is Winchester Super X 150 gr. Power Point SP 30-30. The box says 30-30 and the brass is also stamped 30-30. The boxes are old, probably from the 80's? They are white with red and orange accents.

Here's the problem, they are all too long. Like a half inch too long. I didn't realize this until I got one stuck in the action and had to take it to a gun smith.
Besides being too long, the round nose bullets look a lot less round than other 30-30 ammo I have. They look more like the power point bullets you find in a 30-06 cartridge.

They look factory crimped? My suspicion is that they were reloaded with the wrong bullet, but how do I tell reloads from factory? Could they have been factory loaded with the wrong bullets?
I would like to sell them to recoup some of the cost, for use in bolt action or single shot rifles only, but I don't want to sell unknown reloads.

Has anyone ever heard of Winchester selling 30-30 cartridges that weren't intended for lever actions?

It's 30-06. It will run fine in a Bolt Gun....

30-30 is much much smaller.

Sell that 30-06 in the marketplace.

That being said....what did the gunsmith tell you? And smith worth taking a firearm to should have told you what was up with the ammo.

Sorry I put this in the right forum as well. Sorry for the screw up. But since some of you already responded, the box says 30-30, so does the brass. The only reason I put the pic of the 30-06 is because the bullet itself looks like that.

Gunsmith said nothing. I didn't even talk to the gun smith. In fact, I don't even know if the gunsmith did it or the person behind the counter just did it.
