.416 Barrett upper from Zel customs

So I placed an order for the 24" upper in .416 Barrett. This is the Spartan S3 model for the AR10 lowers. Finally after a few weeks it arrived. Upon inspecting it I realize something on the barrel. It reads ultralight .50 BMG. Has anyone ordered one of these before in the .416 caliber? I already emailed the company to clarify what's on the barrel. My order receipt shows .416 as well as my email receipt. The wait time for a .50 BMG barrel in 24" is 6 months. I placed this order 3 weeks ago.

Put a tape across the muzzle and let us know what size the bore is and not the muzzlebrake.
If its larger than 1/2 inch you are going to be sending it back.

Here it is. A bit over 1/2".

Looks like you got the 50 BMG. See what Zel has to say.

Did you put the measuring tape across the muzzle break ? Find some calipers to measure the barrel/bore

Going to wait for Zel to see what's up. I did put a round in the chamber. To no surprise, it fits. It's already packed and ready to ship back to Zel.

A 416 will fit into a 50 BMG chamber so that is not a surprise but that picture of the tape means it is going back.
I think your new upper is just around the corner so when it arrives come out to a URSA match and see what it can do.

That would be the goal. If I can get the right caliber.

Where is the 50 BMG marking? I can't tell for sure from the initial photo. If at the brake end, all their barrels might be marked that way...regardless of how chambered.

Looking at the S3 page on the Zel site, and then your second photo, looks to me that you were measuring the opening of the brake. There is a good chance that they installed the .50 cal brake. That tells you nothing about the chamber.

Quite unclear how you would have cleared DROS unless the barrel was marked .416 Barrett. Please look for other markings on the barrel.

Why? It's not illegal. It would only be illegal if assembled into a rifle using a non "AW or 50BMG" registered receiver.

See if a 50bmg snapcap or dummy round will chamber.
