Does anyone make 223 bolt actions with iron sights?

Sure its been discussed elsewhere, but i'm on mobile and search isnt working. Plus I'm about to go into long assed meeting and would like to be able to peruse suggestions when i come out later.

Ideally I'd like an aperture rear sight like a Garand or No.4 Enfield as opposed to blade and slot. Caliber. 223. Price range up to $1000 absolute maximum. I would prefer Walnut stock - I like the olde worlde look.

Quite a bit over your budget, but the sights fit your description. I built one a while back with a Rem 700 receiver, Bartlein medium target barrel finished at 22" with a Badger Mini FTE, and fit NECG rear aperture sight and Rem 870 Trijicon sourdough front. Very slick setup. Would have preferred the front to be non glow in the dark, but they don't make it without. Trijicon would have made some up for me but what would I do with the other 499? Sorry didn't take any pictures.

You could also get a Rem 700 and put a standard target base on the receiver and use a Williams Target Foolproof rear.

The Ruger Gunsite Scout has "Garand-like" iron sights


In fact, I think they are directly borrowed from the Mini-14 Ranch Rifle.

They provide a Garand-like sight picture, but the rear sight is not click-adjustable like Garand sights, you need a small allen wrench to adjust windage or elevation. So it's more of a set-it-and-forget-it kind of deal.

I hate to say it but you want an AR15-A2. It has everything you want except you don't have to work the bolt to load another round. The Ruger Scout is the next best but the sights are only adjustable by use of a tool. A third option is to add a ghost ring to a gun that has a barrel mounted sight but at that point you become a gunsmith. There have been very few bolt 223s that are factory ready for good aperture sights.

Why yes they do, but just not for you b/c hey you wanted olde world look.
They also have a double trigger but alas you are not worthy.
