I have a 70 Classic Laredo, but mine is blued, no BOSS. .300 Win Mag, with a Zeiss Conquest on it. It shoots ridiculously well and the weight serves to take some of the stank off of shooting a .300 Mag. Like you said, the Laredo comes ready to rock out of the box. I'm not sure, but I don't think it was made in a stainless version. So you might be out of luck if that's your preference.

I don't know why you would need a "chassis" since it already comes pillar bedded in an HS Precision Kevlar stock. If you're going to toss out some of the work that's already been done for you, you might just as well go with an action instead."Mr. Rat, I have a writ here that says you are to stop eating Chen Lee's cornmeal forthwith. Now, It's a rat writ, writ for a rat, and this is lawful service of same!"Comment

Because I don't like the hs precision stock on my sendero and I'd rather have a chassis. I also prefer a chassis because they're more adjustable when I transition from sitting to prone and vice versa.Just a libertarian guy in a Leftist Authoritarian state.

Where did you find the model 70 Stealth? You might consider looking at the latest version of the 70 Stealth. Depending on what caliber you want to go with you might have some more luck finding one because they were produced much more recently than the Laredo (2011). I have one that I bought brand new just last year so they are out there. Its a .308 built on a short magnum action with a 26" 1:12 heavy barrel. I personally love it. It will also fit in stocks or chassis designed for the FN SPR line of rifles as I believe they are made with the same tooling.

Applied weapons technology (AWT) has a long action chassis for the model 70. I have one. It's quite nice but it needs slight modification to the action. The feed lips need to be set back a little so it can fit an Aics magazine high enough into the action

I wanna have box mags and take it to sac valley. Just like I do with my sendero. I think going with the laredo is how I'd go about it now but I'm still open to suggestions.
I'm in Montana right now and it is freakin beautiful out here. They also have a 1k range. I didn't know that until I got here. Gonna get a tour at Montana rifle company on Tuesday.Just a libertarian guy in a Leftist Authoritarian state.

Probably not what you're looking for just thought I'd bring up the Mausingfield action.
Cliff notes K98 extractor controlled feed, Springer 1903 ejector, R700 footprint, takes AI single and double stack mags.
